Since its foundation in 2009, JAPAN SQUARE vzw has been organizing and supporting events and activities that highlight Japanese culture in the broadest sense of the word and bring it closer to home, and all relevant information about those events & activities can be found here on this website.

The annual film festival in arthouse cinema Studio Skoop is our main activity and on the website you can recognize the events that belong to a film festival on the overview pages by the bubble with the letters FF in it (yes, you guessed it, “FF” from “Film Festival”).

In addition to the film festival, there is also room for one-off film screenings, tastings, workshops and other events – often in collaboration with other Japan-loving partners – to respond to the growing interest in the land of the rising sun.
