Sway

To attend his mother’s funeral, Takeru leaves his carefree existence in the big city for the village he once fled.

After an amorous entanglement and a mysterious fatal accident, this psychological drama gradually degenerates into a courtroom thriller in which we as viewers only gain insight into the true facts in small doses.

With various plot twists, the acclaimed director Nishikawa Miwa leads us along a series of classic themes that still define 21st century Japan. Add to that the stunning soundtrack and sensual photography and you can soon speak of a masterpiece.
