This delicious documentary about one of the most famous dishes from Japanese cuisine immerses you in the wonderful world of ramen. Ramen was originally a simple dish for the Japanese working class, but is now conquering the hearts of food lovers worldwide. In Japan itself, prizes are even awarded for the best ramen chef. Ramen chef Tomita Osamu has won this prize several times and gives us a glimpse into his kitchen. The film shows the blood, sweat and tears that this chef and his students put into serving the perfect bowl of ramen to their guests. These guests sometimes wait for hours to be able to taste this legendary ramen. The film also delves into the history of this fantastic dish and the great variety of ramen that can now be found.
This film makes you want to eat the screen so that you can taste the steaming bowls of ramen yourself. Fortunately, you can! (At least that about tasting the ramen yourself) Ghent ramen chef deluxe Nick Hofman will not only introduce the film verbatim, but will also bring his “Zuru Zuru Ramen” to the Skoop Café. Fill your stomachs with a bowl of goodness from 18h30. Reserve quickly, we will keep the bowl warm for you.
