Layer by layer, One Cut of the Dead continues to impress with its unadulterated ingenuity, including an uncut opening shot that runs for a whopping 37 minutes. Shot over eight days in an abandoned sewage treatment plant, the film earned back more than a thousand times its tiny budget at the Japanese box office.
