What would you do if a high-ranking member of the local yakuza, the Japanese mafia, suddenly asked you to teach him how to sing? Satomi Oka, the 14-year-old leader of the school choir, certainly wasn’t keen on the idea. Yet, he can’t resist helping Kyoji Narita, and before he knows it, Satomi is spending his time regularly in karaoke to fulfill his role as a vocal coach.
This marks the start of a humorous tale of friendship and self-discovery. The dynamic between the main characters is incredibly refreshing, and the energy of the film is contagious. The hilarious combination of a high school student and a yakuza member will have you chuckling for the rest of the evening, and the heartwarming friendship between the two will leave you with a warm feeling for days after watching the film. So, be sure to bring the whole family!
