Mag Mag is Yuriyan Retriever‘s directorial debut. The popular Japanese comedian, known from America’s Got Talent, reimagines the Japanese horror genre in this film. With a soundtrack that will keep you on the edge of your seat and an atmosphere reminiscent of Japanese horror classics like Ringu (1998) and Ju-on: The Grudge (2002), Mag Mag promises an evening full of suspense. And the icing on the cake? A touch of dark comedy!
Finally, the performances of Sara Minami (Ride or Die (2021) and From Me to You: Kimi ni Todoke (2023)), Aoi Yamada (Perfect Days (2023) and First Love: Hatsukoi (2022)), and Oshiro Maeda (Rewrite (2025) and Our Little Sister (2015)), along with the chemistry between the characters, make this film a true must-watch!
